Thanksgiving 2005
We had a wonderful time at the beach over this holiday week...end. We got down to Long Beach on Tuesday evening and spent a glorious morning Wednesday running the dogs and kids down on the beach. The weather was amazing. Nicholas even asked if he could go skimboarding in the ocean. After many long explanations, he finally gave up. 
We had fun down in Seaside on Wednesday also. That evening, Marc and his girlfriend Amy arrived! Thursday was another beautiful day, but was 
mostly spent preparing dinner. Thanks to Mom and Dad, we had an amazing meal! This will also be known as the day Charlotte mastered her back handspring. She's worked really hard at it and finally has it, down! Friday was a cruddy day in terms of the weather, but that didn't stop Mom, 
Amy and I from braving the crowds at Costco and the outlet malls to get some Christmas shopping done. The most frustrating part of the whole day was having to wait in line in Fred Meyers (U-Scan line, even) to get some medicine for my cold...It took over 20 minutes!
Friday evening, Amy, Charlotte and I made sugar cookies and we had family movie night (I'm sure Uncle Marc loved that!) There was also a storm Friday night, alllllll night long--apparently we need to figure out a way to make the vent outside our bedroom window stop slamming in the wind. It was a long night! Saturday brought a beautiful rainbow 
(something nice after the storm), we relaxed, frosted cookies, puzzled, shopped, ate turkey enchiladas (no leftovers, now) and Charlotte and Nicholas braved the cold to ride the go-carts. It was a great time, but it's good to be home and in our own beds.
We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our newest family member (Roxi and her husband are in China picking up Baby Julianne right now!). I'll have pictures when they get back home.
